As President and Founder of the Polytechnic Cyber Institute, Luxembourg’s first accredited interdisciplinary online technology school, he is redefining education in emerging technologies.

Philippe’s academic path reflects his commitment to interdisciplinary mastery. Currently pursuing dual doctorates in Business Administration (DBA) and Cyber Technologies (PhD) while holding over 90 professional certifications, he embodies the modern scholar-practitioner. As a Key Technology Expert in Quantum Technologies for the European Commission, he helps shape Europe's technological future. His global research involvement includes participating in NASA’s ‘Open Science Data Repository Analysis Working Group on Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. As Mission Director of the Cybertech CubeSat Space Program (CCSP), Philippe Funk pioneers space-based cybersecurity research, showcasing how interdisciplinary thinking can tackle complex challenges.
International Recognition and Innovation:
Philippe’s impact extends beyond academia. In 2015, he became the first Luxembourg national to win an international award in the USA for his adventure game app. His creative achievements span over 80 international awards as a music producer and film director, the invention of the Sukeima puzzle game as an alternative to Sudoku, and recognition as a painter and featured fashion designer in the ELLE magazine.
Leadership Philosophy and Vision:
Serving as an International External Expert to the Slovak Research and Development Agency and as a Coach at the Digital Learning Hub Luxembourg, Philippe champions collaborative innovation and knowledge democratization. His Polytechnic Cyber Institute,
officially recognized by Luxembourg’s Ministry of Education, delivers cutting-edge technology education from beginner to professional levels, removing barriers to
advanced technical learning.
